In 2017 CHOC retired the Inn of the Year Award and replaced it with The CHOC Property of Excellence Award. This prestigious award is designed to recognize hotels with a high LTR, high Elite Recognition, and are a leader in their market in RevPAR Index.
Initially the top 5 properties that meet the aforementioned thresholds in each brand are determined, members of the awards committee visit each property and talks with the owners and/or management presenting an opportunity for properties to showcase their team and their unique strengths that make them a leader within their brand.
Following these property visits, members of the awards committee meet and discuss each property and select a winner.
